Sydney King is currently attending University of Cincinnati and studying special education.

"Earning this scholarship has helped me a tremendous amount because not only has it helped me pay for school and books but it also introduced me to other people who have experienced something similar to myself. I think that alone is what is so important to me about earning this scholarship. During tough times it’s so easy to think you are the only one and that you are alone. But that’s never the case, there are people out there who may have not gone through exactly what you have but something similar and you are able to relate. Relating to people is what has helped me the most and being chosen as a scholarship recipient I have been given the chance to be introduced to people who I can relate to and can help me achieve my goals."
